This year's Colorado Dulcimer Festival will take place on February 3rd and 4th, 2012, with optional activities on the evening of the 2nd. Please plan to be in the area and checked in before 8:30am on both Friday and Saturday. Also remember that single-day registrations will be available if you can't make one of the days.


Schedule

All events, unless otherwise noted, take place at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church

Thursday, February 2nd (Optional)

5:00-6:30 pm – Festival Set up

6:30-7:15 pm – Volunteer Welcome Potluck

7:15-8:00 pm – Performer Product Check-in

7:15-8:00 pm – Dulcimer Orchestra Rehearsal

8:00-???? pm – Warm-up Jam (at Shepherd of the Hills, everybody's invited!)


Friday, February 3rd

7:30-8:30 am – Registration and Check-In

8:15-8:35 am – Welcome Meeting in Sanctuary for all participants

8:45-10:00 am – WORKSHOP 1 (including Absolute Beginner workshops for both Instruments)

10:30-11:45 am – Dulcimer Contest 1 (Mountain Dulcimer)

11:45-12:00 pm – Dulcimer Orchestra Performance Selection

12:00-1:00 pm – On-site, catered Lunch

1:00-2:15 pm – WORKSHOP 2 (Jamming)

2:45-4:00 pm – WORKSHOP 3

4:15-5:30 pm – Open Stage Performances (Sign up at Registration Table)

5:30-7:00 pm – On-site dinner

7:00-9:30 pm – CONCERT 1 (with winner of today's contest)

9:30-11:00 pm – Informal (and optional) Jamming


Saturday, February 5th

7:30-8:30 am – Registration and Check-In

2:45-4:00 pm – WORKSHOP 6

4:15-5:30 pm – Tartans and Tears (Celtic Performance by Bonnie Carol, Tamra Hayden and Gregg Hansen)

5:30-7:00 pm – On-site dinner

7:00-9:30 pm – CONCERT 2 (with winner of today's contest)

9:30-11:00 pm – Informal (and optional) Jamming
